Tournament Recap

This years event was a complete success and we raised close to $10,000.00! I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who came out and helped make the event such a huge success this year. I met a lot of wonderful people Friday night that came from all over Florida and even as far as Texas to support the cause. There were even a couple survivors who have recently been diagnosed that were able to come out and play in the tournament.
The tournament started around 7 PM and finished close to 11 PM. With just about 70 players registering for the event we had a few alternates that couldn't sit right away but we were able to get everyone sat before the first break of the evening. The rest of the tournament went off with out a hitch. Once we got down to the final 9 players we auctioned off the 10th seat of the final table for $350.00 that went to Dr. Steve Racine. Once we started back up it didn't take long to get to our winner Jose Garcia who went heads up with John Polk to win the event and Kris Adams came in third.
Already looking forward to next years event and seeing everyone there again. Till next year GOD BLESS!
Neil

50/50 Last Man Standing Contest

Another thing we are doing the evening of the tournament is the 50/50 Last Man Standing Contest. How this works each person who donates $10 dollars to participate will get a bracelet to put on their arm to mark that they are taking part in the contest. All the money collected will be split 50/50 between the charity and the last man standing at the end of the evening will win 50% of the total money collect. This is a great way to raise some extra money for the Pancreatic Cancer Network and All In For A Cure.

Final Table Seat Auction

Tagged in: Untagged

Once again this year will be auctioning off the 10th seat at the final table. This means we will play down to 9 players and the pause the tournament to start the auction. So make sure to stick around for another chance to win the grand prize!!

As we draw closer to the poker tournament on November 6th we have picked up several contributers to the event. Each one of these donations helps ensure the event is a huge success this year.  Please make sure you support our sponsors below by making a purchase or using their services.

Crazy Costumes and More Store - Along with a donation to the event they are also helping out with a small fundraiser from now till halloween. With this flier you can get 10% off a costume and an addtional $5 will be donated to "All In For A Cure" Charity Poker Tournament. So make sure you get your costume from them this year. Visit their website at OrlandoCostumeStore.com.

Grumpy Joe's Liquor Store
- They have been in business since 2003 and are one of the largest independently owned and operated liquor stores in central Florida.  We cater private parties and pride ourselves on having some of the most competitive prices in town. We are located one block east of International Drive on Sand Lake Rd. Visit their website at GrumpyJoesLiquor.com.

1800-Trial-Pro - Our trial professionals aggressively prepare every case, no matter how big or small, with the expectation that it will go to trial in order to maximize our clients' recoveries. Visit their website at 1800TrialPro.com.

One of the biggest things to accomplish other than making sure people are showing up to participate in the poker tournament is getting the sponsorships filled to to make the event a success for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and myself personally. There are a number of sponsorships for the event  but this year I've created a smaller one that would allow a smaller business to get in front of a hundred poker players and spectators at the Charity Poker Tournament and hundreds of website visitors leading up to the event. This is a perfect opportunity to get in front of all those people for a small donation to help out a great cause and raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Research which my Dad has recently passed away from this year.
The Business Sponsorship is only a $75.00 donation to the event. The sponsorship includes a Promotional Flier in the swag bag which can be a coupon or a special deal you want to offer all poker players at the event. Your company logo will also be placed on the website for everyone to see that you made a donation to the event.
This is an opportunity to get involved with a great cause and help raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Each year about 32,000 individuals in the United States are diagnosed with this condition. The prognosis is generally regarded as poor, with few victims still alive 5 years after diagnosis, and complete remission still extremely rare. If you are interested in helping please give Neil Belliveau a call at 407-637-4852 for more information or visit Orlando All In For A Cure Charity Poker Tournament's website.

The location and date has been set for this year's All In For A Cure Charity Poker Tournament.  Once again the tournament will be held at Friday's Front Row off International Drive in Orlando, FL on November 6, 2009.

The All  All In For A Cure Charity Poker Tournamnet is in it's third year and raises money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer. To date the event has raised almost $10,000.00 for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

All In For A Cure is on Facebook and Myspace to help promote the event on a larger scale to the social media masses.  We have had these active for awhile but never really made the announcement on the new website till now. You can find us by clicking on the links below or the Facebook and Myspace icons on the left side of the website. Looking forward to seeing everyone over there.

2009 All In For A Cure Tournament

We have just launched the new website and blog to help promote the 2009 All In For A Cure Charity Poker Tournament. This year's event is extra special for me as my father had passed on April 10, 2009 from his battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Initial planning has started as we look to book a venue and start to secure some of our main sponsorships for the event. Once the venue is secured we will be getting into full blown promotion of the event.  Some great contacts have been made over the last few months which should make this the best event to date.
